Marcel Duchamp, within his series of work titled: Rotoreliefs (Optical Disks), studies the ways in which a relationship between specific motion and pattern carries a fascinating potential to transform a two-dimensional object into something that moves in four-dimensional space and time. In this piece, the user is able to alter the patterns created by overlapping circular forms, as they are given control over the motion of the composition.
