Naum GABO, in his rotating sculpture titled Vertical Construction No.2 (The Waterfall), explores the fourth dimension of space and time. This piece is intricately held together by an inordinate amount of thin wires that when rotating produce a mesmerizing moire effect. This piece attempts to create this same hypnotizing moire effect caused by our confused perception of these very small overlapping lines.
